1Front pillar garnish

Located on both sides beside the windshield.
Perfect Appearance is required because it is the most visible part merchantability

2Center pillar upper garnish

Located between front and rear door window.
It is required perfect appearance and to have a function to relieve the shock of the passenger’s head in case of accident as well as.
We have developed the Center pillar upper garnish with Aassist grip by utilizing Kumi’s gas injection technology.
3Rear pillar garnish

Located next to the back seat.
It is required to have a function to relieve the shock of the occupant’s head in case of accident and external appearance.
4Grab rail

Located at the top of each seats, and it is grabbed to support the upper body when passengers get on and off or driving on a sharp curve. Grabrail has function to relieve the shock of the passengers’s head at an accident. It is reqired not to be scattered when the side curtain airbag is deployed. At an accident, it has a function to relieve the shock of the passengers’s head, and it is required to not diverge when the side curtain airbag is activated. The grip made of hollow structure by Kumi Kasei’s gas injection technology,it combines light weight and high rigidity. It is applied for the most of Honda cars and produced more than 15 million units per year.
5Column cover

Located the base ofdriver’s handle and required to have a function to to relieve the shock of the driver’s knee at an accident of a collision.
6Cowl side garnish

Located under foot of front seat.
The Cowlside garnish is to cover the internal parts such as fuse boxes, bonnet opener, etc. and install flare and not to damage the car body etc with these protrusions.
7Front rear side garnish

Located under the front door and the bottom of each door.
It covers the door opening flange and protects built-in items such as fuel lid opener and trunk opener.
It is required high stiffness as it may be stepped on when getting on and off.
8Center pillar lower garnish

Located between the front and rear doors, and it is required to have a function to relieve the shock to passenger in case of a side collision.
9Trunk side lining

Located in a trunk room and reqired very high appearance and protect luggages in the trunk.
Kumikasei has technologies to produce the moldable felt material with Thermo forming is applied when light weight demanded. Injection Molding is applied when high stiffness is reqired.
We have developed our own unique modable felt material which has high acoustic performance in addition to light weight and high stiffness, and we globaly provide the technology.
10Tail gate lining

Located inside the back door.
Both of very good appearance for visiblity such as no sink mark and thin thickness for light weight are required.
11Rear panel

Located at the end of the trunk room.
High stiffness is required not to break at heavy loads and unloads.
